We do an initial zoom call or phone call. If you decide to proceed we then make a time to meet in person. This is very important to me. We can get to know each other and for you to feel more comfortable with me. I will send a form to fill in asking for personal information. A deposit will be paid on booking my services. We can spend time over a coffee, drink or meal learning about you as a couple and the type of ceremony you desire. And I can witness the first batch of legal documents. After meeting in person I write the ceremony script and then you can have a chance to look at it and make any revisions you require. I take care of all the legal paperwork. After the marriage is registered you will receive a registration number that allows you to order an official certificate. I offer as much support as you need. And provide a PA system that is wireless so it can be transported to any location.
It is very personal. I suggest a phone or zoom call. I believe you will know when it is a right fit for you or not! I suggest talking to at least 3. And have some questions ready if you can.
I always suggest you write from the heart. Include sentimental and romantic thoughts and feelings. Then mix in some “vows” that are true and also funny. “I vow to rub your feet with yogurt..etc.”. Whatever is personal to you as a couple. I always encourage couples to do personal vows if they feel comfortable. It adds another layer to the ceremony.
This is the wonderful thing about choosing to use a Celebrant. There are only 2 legal requirements for the ceremony and then you are free to have it as long or short as you desire. Or add elements, rituals and readings. I am always on hand to discuss the options and give guidance if needed!
